We host a selection of four very special tastings, listed below, usually held at 7pm in London, at the private members club, The Union, Soho.

We promise you a splendid evening, and remember – you are most welcome to bring a friend so they too can enjoy the fun…..

OUR TASTINGS:

TASTING 1 – CAN YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE?

If you’ve ever wondered what all the fuss is about with wines which cost hundreds of pounds, then this is the tasting for you! Now’s your chance to taste a seminal £500 (+) claret and pit it against the sort of wine normally considered a special treat (£50), and an entry level supermarket offering. Can any wine possibly be worth the money? Would you be able to tell the difference?  We are so often asked these questions – this tasting is your opportunity to find out.

TASTING 2: THREE REGIONS

Bordeaux, Rhone, Burgundy – the three iconic French wine producing regions. During this tasting we’ll talk you through what makes each region so very special. You’ll taste one of the finest wines from each region in order to understand the nuances which make them so unique.
Which one will reign supreme?

TASTING 3: CHARDONNAY

Could a fancy white wine ever blow your socks off in the way a special red can?
If you’ve ever heard the 1980s mantra ABC (anything but Chardonnay), then now’s the time for a serious rethink. This tasting is much like our “Can you tell the difference” claret tasting, but with a fine white Burgundy, pitted against what most folk would consider a fancy Chardonnay, and a decent supermarket offering

TASTING 4: CHAMPAGNE

This tasting is all about celebrating the glory of bubbles. Why is Champagne so much more expensive than Prosecco? Why are the very best vintage champagnes in a price league all of their own? Can they really be that special? In this tasting you’ll try a fine Italian fizz, a great champers, and a really great vintage Champagne.
